From Zoo Day
[I give up. This video will NOT load. The other one is cuter anyway.]
This video is from the Easter Party and I warn you, this song is super addictive. I kind of love it and sing it all day long. And I LOVE Dellaina's dance. This is her signature move these days and I love that by the end, she's taught her friends to do the

Water, water everywhere!
We’ve had lots of fun with water this hot summer. In addition to the lake or sprinklers at G&G’s, we’ve been to the pool a couple of times, once even with Daddy!
(gotta love the ABC’s sauce still around her mouth from dinner!)
Water Day at school:
*Dellaina did an art project at school that she calls, “water, water everywhere” and mentioned the full name a lot.

Outdoor Recreation
In addition to playing on the playground or “hiking” to the “waterfall”, we also have a few other activities we’ve been pursuing outdoors in spurts this frigid month.
Thanks to Mammie, Grandaddy & Mema, we get some great magazines (Highlights – remember the picture searches? – and 2 through the National Wildlife Federation) delivered every couple of weeks (initial thanks goes out to Megan for sending us Ella’s old copies of Animal Baby many moons ago and introducing us to the great series) and we have fun sitting down and reading them together. They have games and activities and stories and fun facts and even pictures submitted by young artists. So, we decided to send in some of Dellaina’s work! We made copies of 2 (I had a hard time convincing Dellaina not to send in any and everything she’s ever done – or was sitting down to do to include) of our favorites (“Zillica” and “flowers”) and put them in a envelope (which of course had to be decorated as well) and mailed it in. Dellaina has mainly forgotten about it or has accepted that “they may not use my pictures. if they need flowers or underwater animals, they might, but if not, they may not” but someone else *might* still be anticipating a response about publication because they are just too good not to use, right?! And she’s totally not biased. at all.
One day, we even broke out the Easter eggs and had an impromptu egg hunt. Getting in some early practice this year.
A similar version we like to play is called “treasure hunt” where we just hide 1 specific object.
Or there is always posing and modeling as one day Dellaina wanted me to take her picture here
and here
and what about here
and on this rock
(got something in her eye, but still smiling)
she said we needed to take 12 pictures for the bathroom frames (I do regularly comment about needing to update it, but pointed out we might not want to exchange all the pictures out with ones of her. . at least wearing the same thing, maybe we should get some in a different outfit at least)
Then, there’s entertainment with ice and snow. We chipped away at the frozen bowl of ice that is normally the dog’s water and whenever it colds enough to freeze the boards to the driveway, here’s how Dellaina likes to knock them loose:

Babes
After the baby shower, we loaded up and headed to Athens. We actually went straight over to my friend, Katie’s parents house because she and her husband, Tracy, were over there with their son, Jack. He’s 7 months old and I hadn’t met him yet, and actually, they hadn’t met Wyatt yet, either! I had gotten to see Katie last Christmas when she was pregnant, but it was without kids in tow. And they’d missed 4th of July the past couple of years.
Katie’s brother, Will, and his wife and son, Wylie, were there as well. Jack and Wylie are only 9 days apart! Both are just precious. Jack has gorgeous eyes and is a big boy! Wylie reminded me of Wyatt, actually. They have an awesome backyard/patio area, so we just all hung out and the kids ran around and had a big time.
Katie’s dad really needs to invest in a swing, poor man! Especially once he offered to start “swinging” the bigger kids! Dellaina was loving the babies and getting them to laugh.
I called this the “castle” and Katie’s dad built it all by himself! It was really great, but high, so I tried to keep the kids down on the ground.
Megan, Ella and Ashley Kate finally came over to visit, too. It was really great to see them and Dellaina and Wyatt both had a big time following Ella around.
We did eat our pizza up in the castle. This is a great picture and I love how Ella ran over to jump in and posed so perfectly! That girl is a pro and knows how to turn in on in front of the camera!
love both AK and Wyatt’s eyelashes!
and the drool on the chin, too! ;)
cups of ice were a really big hit. so was digging the ice out of the cooler.
Poor Jack was getting tired and did NOT want to take a sweet family photo.
Kasey came over right as we were heading out, too, so it was a good time seeing folks I haven’t seen in quite a while. Jack talking to Kasey. I love Tracy’s face in this picture.
I forgot to get a picture of the girls until we were out in the driveway leaving, so we had Ella. . .
and then Dellaina (love the change in elevation – I thought they were closer in height, but I think Ella was holding it up above her head rather than tilting it to make sure she got the tops of our heads in the picture). . .
